Profile: Ford Bronco II
The Bronco II was released in 1984 and was one of the first vehicles to offer public who gave him the kind of capabilities that large trucks and SUV's had a much smaller size. The Bronco II was built on the chassis and is completely Ranger identical in many respects. Engine choices ranged from a 2.8-liter V6 and a 2.9-liter fuel-injected V6. None of which offer a lot of power, but the pair tends to be more important in a smaller truck like this. The Bronco II was available in 2 and 4 wheel drive versions, this could be hired manually or in editions XLT Eddie Bauer 4-wheel drive was electronic. Of particular note is that the front axle four-wheel drive models actually a semi-independent axle instead of a full solid as full-size Bronco. Bronco II also came with locking front hubs and a car, or 5spd. transmission manual.
Now this would not be an appropriate profile, if we do not discuss the reputation of the Bronco II. The truck caught a lot of bad press for being prone to pull over. Now, for those of you reading who might fear this I would suggest to take a step back and use common sense. This is an SUV with a high center of gravity so your real surprise that if a roll over could be a possibility. After staff have you never felt I had really no trend rolling hard, but I think it is obvious that if you push a car like this beyond the limits of its management as well as any other SUV roll over could happen.
Now that we have that the way we talk about what makes this truck an All-Star. Firstly the price, Bronco II and Ranger counterparts can be found all day long for under $ 1000. These trucks are cheap, easy to work, and plenty of spare parts available. As for off-road capability These small trucks have some potential and aftermarket upgrades are there to help turn these things into beasts sling mud. If you plan to buy one things to consider are electronics (80 ford switches and ignition modules tend to go out once in a while, but always a cheap solution) and take into account most of the Bronco II was recalled from the heads problem that caused coolant leaks.
In general I think that these vehicles can provide much reliable fun, and as long as you keep an eye out for the person known problems can easily get a lot of bang for your buck with a old Bronco II.
